A feature on Weeks Group and Supaloc in the Advertiser last week reports on a recent deal to build a factory in Connecticut in the US.

Supaloc in the Advertiser

This article in the Advertiser last week reported on the recent announcement of a brand new Supaloc factory to be built in the US under the Connecticut State Government’s First Five project. The project aims to attract investors and new jobs into the state of Connecticut, and Supaloc was the only company from outside the US to be selected.

Supaloc Director Kevin Weeks talked to the Advertiser’s Giuseppe Tauriello about the opportunity. “In America all commercial buildings need to be steel so there’s a great opportunity for hotel, motel, industrial and commercial buildings.” He goes on to explain how the expansion is “a significant ‘door opener’ to be able to access much larger markets.”

Tauriello also outlined his talk with SA Manufacturing Minister Susan Close, who stated that “The South Australian Government firmly believes that there is a bright future for advanced manufacturers such as Supaloc who are willing to innovate and find new markets.”
